The 4th!!!

4th of july was soooo fun! Below and above are photos from yesterday. (above is looking up the gorge and below is the fireworks!) the long exposures worked really well for fireworks and i was able to experiment with times from 4-30 sec.

Summertime!

4th of July tomorrow! lots of opportunities for many different types of photography all day long! Hopefully I will get some long exposure shots of the fireworks among other things. below is my very first attempts at long exposures, taken just a few days ago in downtown Hood River.

I thought these photos were very fun to take, mainly just because they are so much different than any other I usually take.

SPRING HAS SPRUNG!!!

Spring has spring and I still haven't stopped taking photos! Above and below are some of my favorite photos from my recent trip to Seattle. 

I really do love sunny weather......... I have been outside almost every day now and its LOVELY! Hope you all get to go outside today because it it looking nice!

Brrrrrr!

Ok, so it is FREEZING outside!!! just came in from takeing photos and here are some from the frost ridden area called my front lawn.


The below picture is of one of the first flowers of spring! they are called grasswidows and i've never seen them anywhere but here!

Frosty Mornings, Sunny Afternoons...

Frost creaping onto every avaible surface durring the night, then melting away in the chilly spring sunshine...

The sun is just comeing over the ridge now, maybe i'll go for a walk and take some hot-chocolate-inspireing photos.The below photo was taken in NW oregon near the Maryhill Museam. Now that the sun has made a signifagant appearance amung the trees, i belive i should do the same, farewell.

Looking Back...

This photo was taken just up the road from my house at Panarama Point last year in early fall. The mountain you see is Mt.Hood and below is the orchards and hills of Hood River county. I really do love this beautiful place i live in.

Sunshine (finally!!!)

I went up skiing today and snapped this photo as we drove up the mountain. As you can see, it was very sunny, so most of the snow at the bottom of the lift was mushy and soft! Surprisingly though, it was really cold at the top! In the end it was a very nice day and we finally got to get out of the grey cloudy soup of Hood River!

this picture was taken a little farther away.... taken from the stoneheadge near Maryhill Museam, this shot was also taken when it was freezing cold! We had driven out to this place just to get pictures, so i couldn't very well just stay in the car! but when i got out, it turned out to be really cold!!!
